The cost-effective Ultrastar 9ES is ideal for entry-level workgroup applications
that include CAD/CAM, image processing, multimedia computing, and more. Designed
for the workstation, high-performance desktop, and PC server platforms, the
9ES offers fast 7200 RPM rotational speeds and a read seek time of 7.5 ms. The
Ultrastar 9ES is currently available in two capacities -- 9.1 gigabytes (GB)
and 4.5 GB -- with Ultra and Ultra-2 SCSI Fast and Fast/Wide interfaces. Lower
acoustics and power usage enhance reliability.
