DK514 Jumper Plug Installation
Bytes/Sector and Sectors/Track Selection (JP173, Pin 1-16, JP164, Pin 1-8 or JP163 Pin 1-16, JP162 Pin 1-8)

This Jumper Setting function is effective with Hard Sector mode. "Set Bytes per Sector" command takes precedence over this Jumper Setting function.
All the applicable numbers of byte are listed in Fig. 2-9A and Fig 2-9B.
Preceding to setting the jumper(s), thrn off the DC power.

The number of sectors is determined in either of the following ways :
(1) Given the number of bytes/sector :
Example : 332 bytes/sector are required :



Each track will consist of 90 sectors of 332 bytes each and one sector of 360 bytes.
Jumper setting :



(2) Given the number of sectors/track :
Example : 51 sectors/track are required :



Each track will consist of 50 sectors of 592 bytes each and one sector of 640 bytes.
