DK515C Jumper Plug Installation
External SCSI ID control
- These 2 additional SCSI ID connectors are mounted on /pcb Rev.
4-. (P/K Rev. A/M4-)
- (A) J7-pin 5~8 (External connector)
- (B) J8-pin 1~10 (Jumper plugs/External connector)

- 2Pin and 4Pin of J8 are common on PCB.
- a) Both 2Pin and 4Pin are opened,
-
ID 2^n = 1 When each pin is opened.
= 0 is shorted.
- b) At least, one of 2Pin and 4Pin is shorted,
-
ID 2^n = 0 When each pin is opened.
= 1 is shorted.
- Note 1:
- When this connector is used for SCSI ID setting.
ID 20,21,22 signal at other connector/Jumper (ie:JP248-Bit
20~21, J7-Pin 6~8) shall be opened.
- Note 2:
- When ID Polarity signal is shorted, the polarity of ID 2n
will be reversed, whichever the ID connector is used from
J7,J8 and JP248.
But the signals other than ID2n (ie, Parity, Motor Start/Stop,
Write Protect, etc.) are not influenced by this signal.

- *1:
- The jumper plugs for J8 are colored with Blue, and can be connected
with square Pin of J8.
The Blue color is used to distinguish it from Green colored jumper
socket which can not connect with square Pin but with rounded
pin.
So, please don't use Green colored jumper socket with J8.
3) Dimension

- *1:
- J8 is 5.08mm longer than standard formfactor 203mm
