Hitachi GST today announced that its Microdrive 3K8 has received the prestigious “Innovations 2006 Honoree" award from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), in the Software/Embedded Technologies category. The Microdrive 3K8, nicknamed Mikey for its diminutive size, will be on display at CES as part of the Design and Engineering Showcase featuring outstanding consumer electronic devices.
