The following steps are required if you have a faulty drive and need to return it.
1 - Hard Drive Pre-Check
Before requesting a return material authorization (RMA), please review the following topics to see if the problem can be corrected.
2 - Warranty Check
With your hard drive's serial number, check to see if your drive is still covered under Hitachi's warranty using the "Quick Warranty Check" on the right.
3 - RMA Request Process
After completing the steps above, continue with return material authorization (RMA) request process
