The following steps are required if you have a faulty drive and need to return it.

1 - Hard Drive Pre-Check

Before requesting a return material authorization (RMA), please review the following topics to see if the problem can be corrected.

2 - Warranty Check

With your hard drive's serial number, check to see if your drive is still covered under Hitachi's warranty using the "Quick Warranty Check" on the right.

3 - RMA Request Process

After completing the steps above, continue with return material authorization (RMA) request process

For warranty support, including serial number assistance, please contact one of the world wide technical support centers.

Notice

If product is sold outside of the returning geography, you must return to your Point of Purchase. For additional assistance, contact the Technical Support Center in your geography.
