The State of California recently awarded the Cal/Star Certificate to Hitachi GST San Jose for occupational safety and health excellence.

Administered by Cal/OSHA, the Cal/Star Program enrolls employers whose safety and health programs are among the most comprehensive in American industry. Its purpose is to recognize leaders in occupational safety and health programs who have been successful in reducing workplace hazards and to encourage others to work toward similar levels of success.

Approximately 30 employers in the State of California qualify for this award and Hitachi is proud of this achievement. Gary Patton, site GM, and Jennifer Stern, director, Disk Operations, accepted the award for Hitachi .
