The Hitachi GST Singapore location has received the Annual Safety Performance Award (ASPA) - Silver Level from the Ministry of Manpower. The ASPA is designed to give recognition to factories that have performed well in safety through the implementation of sound safety management systems.

In assessing the safety management system, the Ministry will evaluate each of the elements stated in the safety management system. The sum of the scores obtained for each of the elements is used to determine whether a factory has achieved a standard suitable for the type of award under consideration.
