Environmental Promotion and Protection Corporate - Mission
Our business activity must be organized to promote and create a sustainable society, to achieve this important role, and to actively engage all stakeholders in this vision.

In accordance with corporate policy, Environmental Promotion and Protection Corporate (EPPC) members of Hitachi GST will commit their resources to the following:

1. Observation of international, national, and local laws and regulations,
2. Promotion of environmental safety, employee safety, and the safety of communities surrounding each of our plant sites,
3. Support of the development and production of environmentally conscious products,
4. Integration of environmental strategies and activities into business goals,
5. Pursuit of improved customer satisfaction.

We will work together to promote our world class environmental management system!

Environmentally conscious products and processes must be a part of HDD development and production.

Success of Environmental Preservation Activities at Hitachi GST will be measured in the following ways:

1. Processes must be continually improved to reduce adverse environmental impacts. We must strive to have environmentally friendly processing.
2. Development of new products must take into account sustainability concerns such as ease of disassembly, recyclability of the final product, and the use of lower toxicity materials.
3. Use of IT technology and Solution technology to contribute to the construction of a recycling-oriented society.
