Hitachi One-Terabyte Hard Drive Wins “100 Best Products Of 2007” Award From PC World

SAN JOSE, Calif. – May 29, 2007 – Hitachi Global Storage Technologies ( Hitachi ) has been honored by PC World with a 100 Best Products of 2007 award. Hitachi’s Deskstar 7K1000, the world’s first one-terabyte (TB) hard drive, placed 20 out of 100 in the 100 Best Products listing and was the only hard drive represented on the list. The Deskstar 7K1000 hard drive began shipping to retailers and online retailers at the end of March 2007. The Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 hard drive delivers superior performance, as well as leadership capacity, to meet the needs of consumers who want to create, share and store their digital information in ever increasing volumes.

The Deskstar 7K1000 hard drive is built on the industry’s most reliable perpendicular magnetic recording technology, allowing Hitachi to extend capacity beyond that available in current 3.5-inch hard drive products.
