Because the Deskstar 180 GXP was in production before and after the transition from IBM to Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, some drives will have IBM labels, others will have Hitachi Global Storage Technologies labels. We recommend using the corresponding documentation listed below. However, please note regardless of manufacturer the hard disk drives are functionally equivalent.
After January 1st, 2003, IBM documentation will not be maintained to reflect changes in Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. Thus, IBM documents may contain information that is not accurate. |
